On new year eve, we went to Bandra (Mumbai) in the hope of celebrating along the seaside at some hotel/resort that I do not remember by name now. The place was closed owing to security reasons. However, I had the golden opportunity to click to my heart's content. My family was very cooperative and patient throughout. In the above pic, some more common men and women just like us, who came to Bandra seashore early in the morning to celebrate their first day into the new year.
This view of Bandra sea is as it is right outside the famous home of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Pretty lucky of him, huh? As if, he wasn't already very lucky...
And then, there are young men standing on the sea shore, gazing at the horizon as if in resolution to make money and conquer this city of wealth, fame and opportunities one fine day.
This is a common sight in Mumbai along the marine drive, couples seated a few feets apart as if dots along the side of the sea for decoration purposes. Love is in the air in every city there is, eh?
A view of the Gateway of India, as our ferry boat retreated to the shore after an hour long trip of the Mumbai coastline. The journey was made even more refreshing and cheerful by the fact that the ferry was least crowded and the guide on the boat had many refreshing Bollywood jokes to tell.
Another view of the magnificent Gateway of India from the ferry I was boarding.
And now we were much closer. I understand I have yet to master the art of editing photographs for optimum impact. So, I solicit expert comments if anyone has any.
Haji Ali Mosque I have not had the opportunity to visit till date, but it's indeed picturesque.
A few imperfect pics out of my collection. I hope to become perfect with time and practice. Till then, thank you for making it up to here.
